Wolf Springs Farm

About The Farm

Wolf Springs Farm was inspired by the land that we are fortunate enough to live on.  The Secwepemc people have lived, gathered and hunted on this same land for more than 10,000 years. The soil is loamy clay which holds moisture during the hottest of months and produces mineral rich plants. Water flows down the mix forested mountain behind us, into various ponds and then along little creeks until it feeds into a lake called the Shuswap. Farming in balance with nature.

From our table to yours, we work hard to grow nutrient dense, clean and healing produce. Meaning we do not use synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, nor fungicides on our food.  We do compost, rotate fields, till minimally, plant for diversity, protect ground water and keep soil covered. With a focus on regenerative farming systems, we are committed to maintain standards which protect the health of the land, air, water, wildlife and people. *Organic Certified #04-347

The Science of Food

Amongst many healing properties, Honey has also proven to be a gastroprotective agent. Its potency in inhibiting the activity of Helicobacter pylori, that causes gastritis and peptic ulcers have been well documented.

Anthocyanins, which are extraordinarily high in Haskap, promote healthy circulation. Haskap berries also provides chlorogenic acid, a phytochemical that reaps vascular benefits by controlling blood pressure.

Eating foods such as Haskap and Garlic are known to flush heavy metal and other environmental toxins from the body.

When our bodies are stressed either physically or mentally our immune system is working in overdrive.  Antioxidant compounds are dense in Haskap, Garlic and Honey. Dark pigment, fresh harvest and in raw form are what give the most healing bio-nutrients.

Inflammation is the root cause of many  chronic diseases. Haskap, Garlic and Honey all contain phytonutrients that help prevent this.

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is the most common cause of blindness among the elderly, but may be largely preventable through an antioxidant-rich diet that includes Haskap and Honey .
